LaBelle has teamed up with mega stars Elton John and Mary J. Blige on her new Classic Moments album. She is currently in the midst of a world tour including stops in Canada, United States and Germany and has recently appeared on ABC Television’s Oprah’s Legends Ball.
Throughout her long career, LaBelle has earned countless awards and accolades that include Two Grammy Awards, Seven NAACP Image Awards, Three Emmy nominations, Two American Music Awards, her own star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
LaBelle is also the author of two best-selling books an autobiography, Don’t Block the Blessings and cookbook, LaBelle Cuisine: Recipes to Sing About. She also has served as a spokesperson for the American Diabetic Association, the National Minority AIDS Council and the National Cancer Institute.
