 The
Masters Golf Tournament held every year in Georgia, the wonderful city
of Augusta and the world renowned Augusta National Golf Course all warmly
welcome thousands of spectators to the most popular event in all of golf.
The first Tournament was held March 22, 1934, and beginning in 1940, the
Masters was scheduled each year during the first full week in April.
That first Tournament was won by Horton Smith. At the 2001 Masters, Woods won his fourth consecutive
professional major, and in 2002 became only the third player to win
consecutive Masters titles. Players compete in The Masters Golf
Tournament by invitation only; and some of the players to compete
are: Tiger
Woods, Ryan Palmer, Thomas Bjorn, and Tommy Aaron, to mention some
