Looking to improve their situation in net, GM Larry Pleau acquired netminder Patrick Lalime from the Ottawa Senators. Lalime - who replaces Chris Osgood - will become the team's fourth No. 1 goalie in five seasons, but brings a lot more stability. His help from the blueline will suffer a bit with the loss of Chris Pronger and Al MacInnis, but the Blues got some quality talent back in Eric Brewer and Doug Lynch. One big thing that will probably hurt St. Louis this year is the scoring from the right side since the Blues lost Pavol Demitra to free agency.
