The latest addition to this musical trinity, Stardust The Great American Songbook: Volume III was released on October 23 and entered the Billboard Top 200 at #1.
Even by the standards of a man who has sold more than 130 million albums worldwide, the public's reaction to these albums has been spectacular. Stewart's first Songbook album remained on the Billboard Top 200 chart for almost 2 years. Rod Stewart spent most of 2004 on the road with "From Maggie May to the Great American Songbook," an 82-city tour that stopped at Boardwalk Hall on July 10, 2004 and was one of the Top 5 grossing tours of the year.
