Without question, Robin Williams is one of our eras most beloved and respected entertainers. His meteoric rise in the 70's from stand-up sensation, to prime TV mega-star on "Mork and Mindy," paved the way for a movie career that has made Williams a contemporary icon. Films such as "Good Morning Vietnam," "Aladdin," "Mrs. Doubtfire," and "Good Will Hunting" helped define generations.
This year has certainly been a busy one for Williams with big screen releases "Man of the Year," "Happy Feet" (which debuted over the weekend at No. 1 with $42.3 million) and the upcoming "Night at the Museum." Moreover, Williams continues his consistent appearances for our troops in Iraq. As recent as last weekend, Williams along with Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal - the undisputed 'Rat Pack' of humorous humanitarians - co-headlined "Comic Relief 2006," an all-star, three-hour TV special to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina-related charities.
