La Cage Aux Folles became one of the biggest musical hits on Broadway and has always been a favorite in any theater it was produced. La Cage Aux Folles was originally a comedy played among the small boulevard theaters in Paris, France and was later made into an original classic film. But in theaters, and more importantly when it played on Broadway it kept legions of fans smiling, laughing and tapping their toes throughout the performance.
La Cage Aux Folles is the story of a son who was raised by two homosexual gentlemen. At age 20 the son falls for the daughter of a bigoted politician, and hilarity ensues as the two homosexual lovers try their best to maintain a facade of normalcy to impress their son's new would be in-law.
