The Kansas City Chiefs were to many a very big disappointment last season. It may have started in the 2004 playoffs. After having a phenomenal
season under Dick Vermeil during the 2003 regular season, the Chiefs were expecting to roll in the post season. They didn't. Bowing out in their first
game in the divisional playoffs, the Chiefs continued their woes into lastseason.
Trent Green leads the Chiefs at quarterback. Last season, although the Chiefs had a very disappointing season, Green personally was very productive, as he three for a career high 27 touchdowns. More notably that touchdown figure marked the third straight season with 24 or more touchdowns thrown for Green. Runningback Priest Holmes was well on his way to eclipsing his previous seasons career breaking scoring record. However, Holmes got injured on only was able to play eight games. Team stud Tony Gonzalez is the prototypical tight end. Last season Gonzalez caught 100 balls.
The Kansas City Chiefs are ripe for making a step back to AFC dominance and games against San Diego may be a tell tale sign if their worthy of such hope.
