Heartland singer-songwriter John Mellencamp announces a new run of the "Words & Music Tour" dates, presented by VH1 and VH1 Classic, that will take him, his band and catalog of three decades of hit songs to audiences all across the United States.
Mellencamp returned to the road last year with his "Words & Music Tour" that ran, in two legs, from March 2005 into the Fall. The tour takes its name from the Platinum-certified 2 CD set, Words & Music/John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits that includes 37 tracks that span the breadth of his career including "Jack & Diane," "Small Town," "Pink Houses," "Authority Song," "Rain On The Scarecrow," "Paper In Fire," "Cherry Bomb" and, of course the original "R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A." The album also includes "Walk Tall" which was recorded especially for the collection and became the focus of an award winning video that reflected the song's message of personal dignity and equality.
