A team full of All-Stars and the highest payroll in all of Baseball, the New York Yankees are the cream of the crop. The Yanks finished 40 games over 500 last year and in 1st place. They have made a few but significant changes this off-season that they hope will get them back to the World Series. They acquired pitchers Carl Pavano, formerly of the Florida Marlins and future Hall of Famer Randy Johnson. They also signed right-hander Jaret Wright from the Atlanta Braves. So by adding all of this pitching to their already potent lineup the Yankees will be a very scary team.
