Moody Blues Tickets
Starting out as a rhythm and blues act in Birmingham, England the Moody Blues transformed into a completely new band with a deeper level of depth and innovation when Justin Hayward and John Lodge joined the group in 1966. With Graeme Edge on drums, John Lodge on bass guitar and vocals, Ray Thomas on flute and vocals and Justin Hayward on lead guitar and vocals, the Moody Blues developed an original and now legendary sound that has carried them through nearly forty years of multi-platinum success.
Their groundbreaking debut album, "Days Of Future Passed," recorded as an experimental album for Decca records introduced a new concept in stereo recording and marked the first time a rock band fused its music with a symphony orchestra. The album, featuring the mega hits, "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Nights In White Satin" has gone on to become one of the most critically acclaimed and popular albums of all time. Weaving poetry into harmonic vocals, blending it with a symphony orchestra and recording it in stereo was unprecedented in 1967 when "Nights in White Satin became one of the biggest selling singles in history.
In the '70's The Moody Blues enjoyed continued success with the albums, "In Search Of The Lost Chord, "On The Threshold Of A Dream", To Our Children's Children's Children, "A Question Of Balance" Every Good Boy Deserves Favour" and " Seventh Sojourn." From these albums, the hit songs, "Ride My See Saw," "The Story In Your Eyes," "Isn't Life Strange," "I'm Just A singer (In A Rock and Roll band)," and several others made their indelible mark in rock history.
The Moody Blues' continued their long run of success with "Time Traveler", "Anthology", "The Best Of The Moody Blues" and "Strange Times." Wile their fan following made the group one of the top touring acts in the 90's, they still maintain success as they play sold out concerts through the new millennium.
