The Milwaukee Bucs finished the 2005-2006 NBA Season with a record of 30-52 and are hoping to have somewhat of a breakout season for the 2005-2006 campaign. On the bright side the Bucs won the top spot in the NBA Lottery and picked up what is believed a player that should put them in a position to be very competitive. The Bucs drafted Andrew Bogut from the
University of Utah. Bogut is an Australian native and was schooled in the European style of basketball which makes him a little more versatile in terms of shooting and dribbling than most American raised Centers. Some fear the Bucs may be soft at the center position because of this, but for anyone that got a chance to see the big fella play for the University of Utah, they can tell youhe can also be a bruiser.
The Bucs should get some great contributions at several positions including point guard where T.J. Ford, a passing phenom, will general the offense. Michael
Redd should continue to be a threat from the perimeter, as the Bucs need to extend the defenses they face to open up the inside. The small forward position will see split time between Desmond Mason and Bobby Simmons, while the power forward slot will be filled by Joe Smith who is very strong and works very hard under the boards.
