These guys might be Simon Cowell’s license to talk as much smack as he does on American Idol, and they will be at the Borgata Event Center February 4th at 8PM. The acidic BMG music executive got the idea to form the group, which means "divine male performer" in Italian, after watching an Andrea Bocelli-Sarah Brightman duet. Cowell sought to fuse a pop music background with operatic voices and an Armani-model look, and Il Divo was formed in December 2003. They have cracked the top 5 in 25 countries and have been #1 in 13 of those. Their self-titled debut went to #1 without a released single. The last band to do that was Led Zeppelin.
