The Houston Rockets have plenty to be happy about coming into the 2005-2006 NBA Season. Tracy McGrady is a certifiable superstar and the Rockets have built the team around his exploits. Couple McGrady's potential dominating play with fairly new NBA sensation Yao Ming and the Rockets can, at times,literally be unstoppable.

The big point for the Rockets now is to put together combinations of players to support the two superstars. The guard spots for the Houston Rockets are chock full of talent and many players will be competing for time. Mike James, David Wesley, Bob Sura and Derek Anderson are all expected to make significant contributions. However, the Rockets big move came this summer as they signed Stromile Swift, who recently played for the Grizzlies. As far as pure basketball skills, Swift still has a lot to learn, at least at the professional level, however, this guy is strong and fast. Swift is expected to compete with Juwan Howard for the power forward position, but even so whoever subs in for the other, the Rockets will be very strong inside.
