The Golden State Warriors finished up the 2005-2006 NBA campaign with a 34-48 record. That stat really isn't indicative of a team that came together after trading up for Baron Davis. Davis is perhaps one of the quickest point guards in the entire NBA at times he's literally unable to be guarded. Backing up Davis for the Warriors is steady and tough Derek Fisher, formally of the famed Los Angeles Lakers teams that won NBA Titles early this decade.
The Warriors also have some great supporting characters that are both developing their own games and finding out how to work well together. Mike Dunleavy will start at the small forward position for the Warriors, but Dunleavy has to find more of a feel for his own openings. Dunleavy is extremely unselfish to a fault, but he does create for others on the court. Jason Richardson
provides an explosive presence at the two guard spot. Filling in the power forward position Troy Murphy is very strong under the boards and finished fifth overall last year for total rebounds. The center position is still unclear for the Warriors but Adonal Foyle and Andris Biedrins will share a lot of time.
Look for the Golden State Warriors to make some real strides in being very competitive this season. Also check for tickets to Golden State Warriors
