Cleveland Browns Tickets

The Cleveland Browns of the National Football League or NFL seem to constantly be knocking at the door, but no one is answering. Since 1999 the Browns have seen three head coaches come and go, but with new head coach Romeo Crennel hope that someone will open the door seems more in the grasp of the Cleveland Browns hopeful.

That's the story through rose-colored glasses. In reality, the Browns have a lot of holes to fill, which includes a Browns defense that was horrific at stopping the run in 2004. In an effort to overhaul the entire defensive unit, the Browns have cast off starters Gerard Warren and Courtney Brown. On the other side of the ball the Cleveland Browns also have had a notoriously week offensive line. In an effort to build up the line the Browns acquired Joe Andruzzi and Cosey Colememan.

The Browns have some key players that should hopefully give them a chance, at the very least, to achieve mediocrity this season. Lee Suggs is a strong running back, but Suggs was injured for most of the 2004 NFL Season. However, in three of Suggs last starts he ran for over 100 yards. Not something to hang the hopes of a Super Bowl on but encouraging nonetheless. At the wide receiver slot, the Browns drafted Braylon Edwards. Edwards was unofficially recognized as probably the best wide receiver in this year's NFL Draft. During his college tenure at the University of Michigan, Edwards broke most of the schools records for receiving including one Big Ten Record of 39 touchdowns in during his college career. Returning at the other wide receive spot is Antonio Bryant. Bryant had three games last season with at least 100 yards in receiving.

The Cleveland Browns have a tough group of teams to face in the AFC North, such as the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Browns faithful will be tested early in the season as the Browns Colts play in Indianapolis September 25th, 2005.
