After 86 years the curse is finally over for the Bo-Sox. After winning eight straight October games to claim the franchise's first World Series in 86 years, the Red Sox spent the winter as America's sweethearts. Now it's time to put that all aside and get back down to business. During the off-season the Red Sox have made some significant changes. They allowed right-handers Pedro Martinez and Derek Lowe to walk as free agents, reeled in free-agent Cubs righty Matt Clement, signed 41-year-old lefthander David Wells and right-hander Wade Miller. They also brought in All-Star shortstop Edgar Renteria from the St. Louis Cardinals. With these significant changes look for Boston to make another strong run in this years playoffs.
