Bon Jovi Tickets
Like their hit single "It's My Life" explains, Bon Jovi has done it their way and it has paid off for over 20 years. Surviving the death of 80's metal and the grunge trend of the early 90's, Bon Jovi remains one of America's most successful rock and roll bands. Jon Bongiovi, a former janitor from New Jersey, tweaked around in studios for years before launching his own band Bon Jovi and changing his name. After ditching original guitarist Dave "The Snake" Sabo (Skid Row) for Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi, the band, was born.
The band's first two albums spawned a few minor hits like "Runaway" and "In and Out of Love," but it was the 1986 release Slippery When Wet that made Bon Jovi an international, multi-platinum success. Slippery When Wet
contained #1 songs "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' On a Prayer," as well as mega-hit "Wanted Dead or Alive." Bon Jovi's next release, New Jersey, brought more success with hits "Bad Medicine" and "I'll Be There For You." Following Bon Jovi's mid-to-late 80's success, members of the band released solo albums including Jon Bon Jovi's soundtrack for the movie, Young Guns, which contained the #1 single "Blaze of Glory."
The talented group burst back onto the scene with the 1993 release of Keep the Faith and its hit "Bed of Roses" and 1995's These Days, which featured "Something for the Pain." In 1997, Jon Bon Jovi released the critically acclaimed solo project Destination Anywhere, also starring in several movies, including U-571 in 2000. Bon Jovi returned to the limelight with the CD Crush and the group's latest Bon Jovi CD, Bounce, has already spawned the mega-hits "Everyday" and "Misunderstood."
